What Makes a “Good Fit” Book Choice?
Tonight’s family learning touches on what makes a “Good Fit” book choice. Becoming an engaged life-long reader depends on your ability to choose books that are interesting, empowering, and impacting with personal connections.
Family Sharing: “How do you choose a book you want to look at?” *Invite everyone to share. Discuss which books you choose (seasonal reads, favorite author, non-fiction selections, etc.).

Skill discussion: “Which of these “Good Fit” skills do you use when you choose a book?” *Encourage everyone to share… including your youngest. Spend a few moments sharing how you made choices when you were their age (include the titles or what your the book was about, as well as why it remains a “Good Fit” favorite).
Discussion Wrap-Up: “What was the first book you could read all by yourself?”
