Around the table today ask each person why does knowing Jesus as our Shepherd matter? If our actions speak louder than words… then what does our belief that Jesus is our Shepherd say about us and how would His promise guide our respect towards others?
Next discuss: “How could we use a candy cane as a calling card for Jesus.” *Let everyone share without interruptions, explain that listeners respect those sharing by making eye contact!
Finally, share “If we hand someone a candy cane, what would be your quick blessing to the person receiving the candy cane?” *Let everyone choose their “Candy Cane” changer.
Closure: Take this opportunity to hold hands and ask someone to lead a prayer asking our Lord for His strength while we practice these new “Candy Cane” changers as our gift to Jesus during this holiday season.
