Materials: family learning journals/paper, pencils, colored pencils, and/or crayons. Remind them to open their journals to the next available page and date it. Don’t forget to have them label the top of the page with today’s learning topic/skill.
Guided enquiry:Draft a paragraph describing a legend that they have heard (4-5 sentences), include an image of the “hero” in the legend (Paul Bunyan). *Invite your younger learners to draw a picture from the slide above and dictate their version of the legend.
