Sunday Reflections: Proverbs 22:6

What does this Bible quote mean to you?
  • Around the table today ask each person what does Proverbs 22:6 mean to you? If our actions speak louder than words… then what does our knowing Proverbs 22:6 say about us and our respect towards others?
  • Next discuss why parenting means that you have to love them enough to say no. *Let everyone share without interruptions, explain that listeners respect those sharing by making eye contact!
  • Finally, Share that God’s word promises that He hears the prayers of the faithful. *Let everyone share what this might mean. Many believe that His Will for us means saying no… not right now… yes… and sometimes the prayer is even answered in the life time of our children. Share what it means to you that God and His Will is a guide book for raising your children up.
  • Closure: Take this opportunity to hold hands and ask someone to lead a prayer asking our Lord for His strength. Use the following Proverbs 22:6 prayer.
Family meals… Family Learning… Family Sharing… Family Growing… Blessings!
