Whether you are a seasoned poet, a high school poet, or an interested poet in the making… you are invited to join us for a monthly poetic discovery night during the summer of 2024. Bring your journal (if you don’t have one, we have one for you). We will be exploring poets, writing, and sharing a reading or two from our favorite poetry books. Poetry consists of several different types and forms. Common types of poetry include acrostic, ballads, blank verse, burlesque, carpe diem, classicism, couplet, epic, epitaph, narrative, ode, rhyme, pastoral, sonnet, lyric and more.
